The Whipple in Time

WHY THE WHIPPLE BLOG?

The Whipple is a musing on the nature of time. I have not started out to break any new ground, or propose a radical new theory. Most of the information is readily available with simple internet searches. I wanted to keep a record of thoughts and information that I have found. Originally, I was keeping a bunch of Favorites on my computer. I found that the links did not last and information was getting lost.

This blog uses links to Wikipedia for a simple reason. The links generally stay put for a longer period of time, and the information that I need to recover is listed in the sources in the Wiki article. This makes recovering information easier for me. I don't really care if anyone reads it or not.

WHAT IS THE WHIPPLE?

This contains no science, so no need to correct me. I believe that the universe is effortlessly beautiful, displays a simplicity in execution, and will be perfect when we understand the pattern.

I have the feeling that time plays a much larger role in this pattern. I want to believe in the fullness of time. I could believe that there are multiple, very real timelines, but that they must collapse to form our perception of reality. I believe that the collapse of the probability of the timelines is tied to entropy, expanding space, and the arrow of time.

I could believe that the omniverse is infinite, and that our universe is a disruption in the normally low ordered background. In the omniverse, the background energy may be uniformly distributed and time exists in waves and ripples. Time creates matter and space. The waves of time are probably both positive and negative, and overlap, set up interference patterns, and matter-antimatter annihilate randomly. Matter and space are only formed because of time.

In our universe, an anomaly occurred. "In the beginning, god created the heavens and the earth". Sounds like a big bang, inflationary expansion, and the forming of matter and space from raw energy (a very large ripple - the Whipple). Due to the nature of the event, a set amount of time is required to pull the ordered disruption back to the normally disordered base state.

The countdown is on and entropy is the clock. The sense that we have of the present is the event horizon of the collapsing wave of quantum timelines. We are continuously propelled into a lower relativistic state.

I don't subscribe wholeheartedly with any one of the current mathematical models being used to describe the way that the universe works - I don't understand the math - but each have cool things to think about.  Whatever the best tool ends up being I think it will fit my 'wow' description above.
